Privacy Policy

Michael Felix believes in the privacy of it's customers. Your information will only be used to process orders. We do not share or sell any information to outside parties.

Ordering through the website

Orders may be placed online with the available standard options to choose from. At checkout you are able to use Visa, MasterCard, and American Express or Klarna, our financing option. Once payment is made an email confirmation will be sent. If you’d like to pay by check please email info@michaelfelix.com and we’ll send you the details.

Ordering via email

Orders may also be placed by emailing info@michaelfelix.com.

Custom orders

We’re happy to make most items to your custom specifications including dimensions and metal or wood finishes. Please email info@michaelfelix.com for ordering and questions. Once items have been agreed upon we are able to create an invoice with a credit card option or the payment options above.

Receiving your purchase

As a service to our customers, Michael Felix will arrange the shipping of orders via one of our preferred carriers. We strive to make the shipping experience as easy as possible but we are not responsible for delays or the individual actions of the carrier.

For home deliveries we strongly suggest our white glove delivery service with rates listed on the website. Our carrier will contact you within 48 hours to provide a window for delivery. Delivery appointments are available M-F, 8am-6pm. Weekend delivery is not available. If you have issues these windows please contact us and we can see what we are able to accommodate.

If your item arrives damaged please email us at info@michaelfelix.com immediately. If the shipping carton is visibly damaged from the outside, we ask that you refuse delivery with the shipping provider, and contact us (via email) within 24 hours of delivery. If the damage is discovered upon opening the package, please contact us immediately and we will follow up with further instructions. In certain instances, we may ask you to complete a damage claim form in order to more effectively resolve the issue.

We suggest you always be present for delivery. We are not liable for any damages should you waive a signature requirement with the shipping carrier.

If a customer selects their own freight carrier, freight claims must be filed directly with the selected carrier. Michael Felix is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.

Returns and Exchanges

Made to order and custom items

Items that are made to order are non refundable after 7 business days of placing the order and not returnable. Cancellations after 7 business days will incur a 50% restocking fee. Once delivered, made to order and custom order returns or exchanges due to customer preference or any other reason cannot be accepted. Exchanges are only allowed in the event that the received item is incorrect or defective.

Michael Felix is not required to offer you a refund and may instead elect to offer you a credit or refuse the return if the item is not in new and unused condition.

Acceptance of orders is based on the express condition that buyer agrees to all of the terms and conditions contained herein.

In stock items

Once delivered, in stock purchased items for returns or exchanges due to customer preference or any other reason will incur a 25% restocking fee with the buyer responsible for return shipping. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Exchanges are only allowed in the event that the received item is incorrect or defective.

Website

We attempt to be as accurate as possible in the description of the items. However, we cannot guarantee that any descriptions are totally accurate, complete, reliable or error-free. The images of the items on the Website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we attempt to display the colors accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer's display of the colors accurately reflects the color of the items.

Warranty

Our warranty shall extend only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Corporate or contract purchases, floor samples or any use of the furniture for the general public is not covered by this warranty.

The warranty does not apply to any damage after sale to original purchaser resulting from improper use. Contact with sharp or rough objects, or substances other than those recommended for cleaning invalidates any and all portions of this warranty. Failure to follow the conditions listed in the care section of our warranty limits coverage.

Any item not specifically mentioned/covered in our warranty has a one (1) year warranty from the date of sale.

Leather: 5 year warranty

Leather has natural characteristics that add to its natural beauty and in no way to be considered defective. Variations in shade, texture and natural markings caused by abrasions during the life of the animal are not considered defects, but are all qualities of fine leather. These characteristics enhance the individuality of each piece and ensure that you are purchasing a quality leather product. To preserve the natural beauty of your furniture, avoid chemicals, direct and indirect sunlight and strong lighting as they will damage and fade leather, which is not covered under this warranty.

Our leather is warranted against the following, as long as you adhere to the care instructions listed in this warranty: - There will be no transfer of color. - The leather will not become hard except under extreme climate conditions. - The leather will not tear under normal use.

The leather portion of our warranty is valid only if our cleaning method is followed. All leather is tested by the tannery to determine whether or not the leather has been treated or is defective. Failure to follow this procedure voids any claim, and determination of this rests with the leather supplier.

Fabric

The manufacturers of upholstery fabrics do not guarantee and will not assume responsibility for any fabric’s color fastness, wearing qualities, or dyelot variations. Michael Felix therefore makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding its fabrics. We do not cover application of a soil resistant treatment. There are certain characteristics that make a fabric unique, such as color variation, slubs, natural fabrics and strié designs. These characteristics are not considered fabric defect. COM fabric is not covered under our warranty.

Frame construction: Limited Lifetime Warranty

Our frames have been carefully kiln-dried, milled and processed to remove defects which could cause structural weakness. Each corner is greatly reinforced, resulting in a frame with inherent strength. Michael Felix warrants against defects in material workmanship for the life of the product under normal use.

Sinuous Spring Construction: Limited Lifetime Warranty

Michael Felix utilizes the finest product-compatible Sinuous Spring construction available to the furniture industry. This results in excellent seating suspension and the proper up and down spring action that provides the finest seating alignment and comfort. Michael Felix warrants this construction against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product under normal use.

Cushion Construction: 4 year warranty

Michael Felix Foam Cushions are constructed with heavy-density, high-support, high-resilience polyurethane foam center with a layer of a low-density, high-resilience polyurethane foam pad laminated to the top and front. All foam will soften as a result of normal use and should not be considered a defect.

Down and Feather cushions are produced utilizing a high-density high-resilience polyurethane foam center core with a polyester fiber pad laminated to the top, front and bottom providing a crowning effect to the seat. The envelope is filled with a blend of 50% down and feathers and 50% polyester fiber.
